Maria Todtenhaupt is a harpist with a wide range of musical interests and an affinity for innovative projects. Her extensive repertoire on the classical concert harp extends from Baroque, classical, and Romantic to the Impressionist era and, ultimately, the 21st century. On the Celtic harp, she plays the traditional music of Ireland and Wales; with the Paraguayan, she transports her listeners to a realm of Latin verve and passion. As a chamber musician, she performs in a duo (with flute), as a member of Trio Croche (with flute and viola), and in a septet. Harp concerts with orchestra round out her repertoire. In addition to giving solo lecture concerts and providing musical accompaniment, Maria also offers the following services: accompanied readings; light/background music; music for theater, radio, and advertising; harp with electronics; and harp lessons.
In 2007, Maria Todtenhaupt founded Trio Croche (flute, viola, and harp) with members of Berlin’s Komische Oper. To book the trio, please call or use the contact form.
